About Anthony

About the lesson

I am a full-time professional teacher/musician and I perform regularly on the UK and international music scene. I draw from this vast experience to deliver the most current and highest quality tuition to each and every one of my students. I have 5-star Google reviews. Over the years, I have fronted many Rock, Pop, Soul, Funk, Jazz and Swing bands on a professional basis. Lessons take place at a professional studio in Reading or online. My teaching style is relaxed and fun always giving the student the opportunity to learn for themselves. This allows the student to create a strong foundation of knowledge that they can nurture from within. Beginners are absolutely welcome to get in touch, as well as advanced students who require vocal coaching. I hold a First-Class BA (Hons) degree in Music, so I am well equipped to prepare students for auditions/exams up to university level. I attended both ACM Guildford and BIMM Brighton to gain my professional qualifications. *recent graduates have been Ed Sheeran, James Bay, George Ezra, The Kooks. My lessons involve exploring the various techniques used in a selection of popular songs. Sessions can also include songwriting/composing techniques and/or live performance techniques. Sessions are tailored to each individual student's needs and requirements and they are never taught songs/styles they do not wish to learn.

Perfect! Anthony is a really great teacher who explains things in an easy to understand way which was very helpful for someone like myself who is a complete beginner. The sessions are enjoyable and go really fast. I don’t feel overwhelmed with the learning and I can feel my confidence growing.

David has a natural talent for singing and has a good baseline to start his vocal tuition from. He needs some help with his confidence in singing higher, more powerful notes which I would like to work with him on his belt and mixed voice register eventually. First, we must take a look at the breathing mechanism and make sure there is well supported and controlled airflow to the vocal folds. After some training, I think David could develop a great voice.

The "15 minutes free lesson" is for the consultation part of the lesson. This free 15 minutes takes place at the same day & time as the first paid 60 minute lesson. In this 15 minute consultation, questions are asked to establish the needs and requirements of the student. The 15 minutes is included in your first paid lesson.
