About Hooreen

Hi! I'm Hooreen, a passionate and enthusiastic Maths tutor and trainee secondary school teacher based in the UK. I believe that every student can succeed with the right support, encouragement, and teaching approach. My goal is to make learning enjoyable, build confidence, and help students reach their full potential.

I have experience supporting students with mathematics and am currently completing my teacher training, where I am developing effective teaching strategies, classroom management skills, and engaging lesson planning. I tailor each lesson to suit the individual learner, whether they need help understanding difficult topics, preparing for exams, or improving their overall confidence in maths.

Outside of teaching, I enjoy reading, keeping up with new developments in education, solving maths puzzles, and spending time with family and friends. I also enjoy learning about different cultures and meeting people from around the world.

I look forward to helping you achieve your learning goals and making your learning journey both enjoyable and rewarding!

About the lesson

I am currently completing my teacher training in Secondary Mathematics in the UK, where I am developing the skills needed to deliver engaging, inclusive, and effective lessons. Through my training, I have gained experience in lesson planning, classroom management, assessment for learning, differentiation, and adapting teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with different abilities and learning styles.

My teaching methodology focuses on creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that confidence is key to success in mathematics, so I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and use real-life examples, guided practice, and regular feedback to help students build understanding. I tailor every lesson to the student's individual goals, whether they are preparing for GCSE exams, strengthening core mathematical skills, or aiming for higher grades.

Academically, I hold a BSc in Medical Science from the University of Reading, which has strengthened my analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills. I also have a strong background in mathematics and science, which allows me to explain concepts clearly and logically.
