About Mackenzie
Technique serves the music. Sound is everything. I prioritize rhythm and timing as the foundation of our work together. We will dismantle difficult bowing patterns until they feel natural.
My 13 years of experience provide the context needed for true growth. I use my Conservatoire training to explain the nuances of vibrato and left hand agility. We address sight reading in small, manageable segments to build your confidence.
You receive immediate feedback on every shift and position change. We keep moving toward the clarity of your performance.

I teach with a focus on deep physical awareness. 481 students have walked through my door since I left the Conservatoire. I spent years in Montréal refining the way a bow creates a narrative. My style is precise and rooted in the heavy traditions of my past.
I work with advanced learners and teens who want to master the instrument. You will find my studio to be a place of quiet focus. My background from McGill informs every correction I make during our hour.
