Methodology

Duration : 3 months - Price : $250.00 - Place : MinneapolisI'm a specialist Spanish and Linguistics teacher with a B.Ed in Spanish and Literature. I have experience in international settings, working with adults and young learners.

I create a path connecting simple conversations and readings whit the study of grammar. This means that my students learn the grammar they need according with their level and needs; working with such a methodology allow us to imitate the way we learn our mother tongue. Learning a language is not about knowing rules and words, but understanding how those rules works and those words can be used to say what we want to say, adapting our cognitive structures to a new logic.

A regular class start with a casual conversation, then we work on a reading, a video, a translation, etc. (generally selected by the student) , in order to get to the grammar; we end practicing with the new knowledge and designing a homework. which depends on student particular needs.

I give my students tools to become independent learners working on a basis of habits and continuous practice. Also, I always follow up the learning process, reviewing homework and answering questions by email or phone.

In this particular course you can choose between 2 or 3 lessons/week, depending on your availability.
