About Allan

I am a current UNSW medical student and professional tutor with 5 years of teaching experience. During my HSC, I scored above 90 in 14 units of subjects including 97 in Chemistry, 99 in exam for Mathematics Extension 1, and 96 in Software Design and Development. I additionally have extensive experience in tutoring for the UCAT (where I scored 3200, 98th percentile), and for medical school interviews.

About the lesson

I am a personal and professional tutor who is there to support students of all levels, whether you are just starting out or looking to achieve top results. Drawing upon my experience as a high-achieving student, along with my experience tutoring both individually and full classes, I focus on helping each student make tangible progress. My lessons combine both theory and practice. I don’t just teach *how* to solve problems but also *why* certain methods work and *when* to use them. This deeper understanding makes the subject more engaging, enjoyable, and ultimately easier to remember. I share evidence-based study strategies and apply proven educational methods in my teaching. I typically run my lessons on Zoom and provide homework to reinforce what we cover in each session.
