About Claire
Hi, my name is Claire, a passionate HSC graduate who loves helping students excel in Maths, Chemistry, and English. focus on personalised guidance and practice-based learning to help students become confident, independent learners. I wasn’t always a top student; however, over time, I developed strong study habits, strategic revision methods, and exam techniques that helped me achieve top ranks in Year 12, including 1st in course for Maths Extension 1, Extension 2, and Chemistry. Having experienced this transformation myself, I understand the challenges students face and enjoy guiding them to find effective, personalised ways to improve and gain confidence.
Here are some of my personal achievements:
High Distinction in Australian Maths Competition senior division(top 5%), a distinction in Kangourou Mathematics, a distinction in the Australian Chemistry Olympiad Competition(2024).
I also achieved highly in public speaking competitions, such as a 'highly commended' award in the 2023 Northern Beaches Eisteddfod, high distinction in ASCA senior grade six and certification of communication, enabling me to assist in this field as well.

To make every lesson meaningful, I would adapt my teaching techniques to meet students' diverse needs. Generally, my approach would be prioritising conceptual understanding to build a strong foundation, effectively supporting the long-term application of the knowledge. Relevant classwork/homework that builds on class learning would be incorporated to reinforce key concepts and help me be better equipped to offer immediate assistance, ensuring a more effective and personalised learning experience for each student.
