About Mathew
I am a friendly Bachelor of Professional Accounting student with over a year of tutoring experience, passionate about helping students succeed. Alongside tutoring, I also work as a badminton coach, where I have developed strong communication and leadership skills while building personal growth in young people in a supportive environment.
With the knowledge and skills I have developed, my goal is to help students maximise their potential both academically and personally. I believe that talent reaches its full value only when supported by discipline, resilience, and the right guidance. My aim is not simply to improve marks but to help students develop the motivation and mindset needed for long-term success. To me, my students are more than just students. Their growth and achievements are a reflection of the impact I hope to leave as a mentor.

My teaching philosophy centres on developing genuine understanding rather than memorisation of formulas. I focus on helping students master the reasoning behind mathematical concepts through targeted exam-style questions, structured problem-solving methods, and clear explanations that build confidence and independent thinking. Having recently completed the HSC myself, my academic achievements, combined with my experience as a tutor, have given me a strong understanding of exactly what students need to succeed and how to help them avoid common mistakes and overcome challenges.
