About Valentina

I was born in Colombia and proudly embrace my cultural roots, even though I grew up immersed in Australian culture and attended a predominantly Australian school. This blend of cultures has shaped my identity and broadened my perspective on the world. At home, I speak Spanish with my parents, family, and friends, which has helped me maintain a deep connection to my language, heritage, and traditions. As a Youth Leader at my Spanish-speaking church, I actively engage with members of the community who don’t speak English. This role continually motivates me to strengthen my language skills, not just to communicate effectively, but to connect, inspire, and support others through meaningful dialogue. In addition, my experience living abroad in France pushed me to fully immerse myself in new languages and cultures. Learning French the hard way taught me the real challenges of language acquisition. I now speak French at a C1 level and Italian at a B1 level. Having experienced traditional language education firsthand, especially in school settings, I understand its limitations. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others learn more efficiently, speak more naturally, and become fluent faster.

About the lesson

I will speak to you solely in Spanish. A typical class includes 1. Vocab 2. Grammar 3. Activity 4. Speaking (+ phonetics optional) I enjoy teaching young people, from primary school to high school. Lessons can range from 45 minutes up to 2 hours, to maximize focus and engagement. I am a native Spanish speaker. Having lived in Colombia for 10 years, I can offer you a wide range of vocabulary, writing support, and practical speaking tips to help you become fluent in just a few weeks. Before you know it ¡vamos a estar hablando español juntos!
