About Fanyana
I am a dedicated and disciplined BA Humanities final-year student with a strong academic foundation in History and Criminology. I take pride in maintaining a professional, respectful, and supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable, motivated, and confident to improve.
My tutoring is built on clarity, patience, and results. I understand the academic pressures students face because I am actively navigating them myself, which allows me to guide learners with relevant, practical strategies that actually work. I focus not only on helping students understand their content, but also on developing their ability to analyze questions, structure strong answers, and perform effectively in exams.
I am reliable, well-prepared for every lesson, and committed to helping each student reach their full potential. My goal is to ensure that every student I work with leaves each session with greater confidence, improved understanding, and clear academic direction.
I am confident in my ability to support high school and first-year university students, and I am committed to continuous growth as both a student and a tutor.

My approach to tutoring is student-centered, structured, and focused on real understanding rather than memorization. I believe every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to match each learner’s pace, strengths, and academic goals. My background as a BA Humanities final-year student, specialising in subjects like History , allows me to break down complex theories into simple, clear explanations that are easy to understand and apply in exams.
What makes me unique is my strong focus on exam readiness and critical thinking. I don’t just teach content — I teach students how to answer questions, structure essays, and think like top-performing students. I also incorporate real examples, study techniques, and memory strategies that I personally use to succeed academically.
I am proficient in English and can teach fluently in English. I aim to create a comfortable and supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions and engage actively in lessons.
In a typical lesson, students can expect:
* Clear explanations of key concepts
* Guided practice with exam-style questions
* Assistance with assignments and essays
* Study tips and revision techniques
* Continuous feedback to track improvement
My lessons are aimed at high school and first-year university students, especially those studying History, Criminology, or related Humanities subjects. Whether you are struggling to understand the work or aiming to improve your marks, my lessons are designed to help you build confidence, improve performance, and achieve your academic goals.
