About Erik
I am a Hungarian water polo player from Hungary with over 12 years of experience playing and competing at the highest levels of the sport. Before coming to the United States, I played 4 years in the Hungarian First Division, one of the strongest leagues in the world. During that time, I was part of a team that won the Champions League twice, playing alongside and against some of the greatest Olympians the sport has ever seen.
Internationally, I have represented Hungary at the highest youth and junior levels. I competed in 3 European Championships and 1 World Championship, earning a bronze medal at the Youth European Championship and a gold medal at the Junior World Championship in Serbia.
Since joining Pepperdine University, I have been named a 2-time All-American, earned Freshman of the Year honors in 2024, and was named Conference Player of the Week twice in 2025. I am currently an active player on the Pepperdine men’s water polo team and New York Athletic Club.

The biggest difference I’ve experienced between European and American water polo is the emphasis on fundamentals, positioning, and game awareness. Having been trained and coached in Hungary and now competing in the NCAA, I combine both systems to help players develop a complete game.
I can coach all age groups and skill levels, from beginners to advanced athletes. Sessions are tailored to each player’s goals — whether that’s improving fundamentals, preparing for high-level competition, or taking the next step toward being a college scholarship athlete. My goal is to help players grow with confidence, discipline, and a strong understanding of the game.
