About Eleanor

I’m a recent IBDP graduate, achieving a score of 42 (equivalent to an ATAR of 98.55), with a 7 in all my Higher Level subjects: Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry - subjects I am truly passionate about.

I love teaching because I find it incredibly fulfilling to help students understand concepts, solve problems, and feel confident in their abilities. Explaining complex ideas in a way that makes sense to others comes naturally to me, and I strive to make every lesson engaging, structured, and tailored to the student’s needs. My approach is patient, encouraging, and professional, and I am committed to helping every student reach their potential.

I have been recognized for my academic achievements with the IB General Excellence Award, Academic Distinction in Chemistry, and the Knight Family Award for Chemistry in my final year. I am excited to share my knowledge and support students in achieving their goals.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is interactive, student-focused, and tailored to each learner’s needs. I aim to make complex concepts in Mathematics, Biology, and Chemistry clear and manageable by breaking them down step by step and using real-life examples where possible. I encourage students to ask questions and actively engage with the material, as I find that understanding deepens when students are involved in the learning process.

A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes, depending on the topic and the student’s goals. Lessons often include a combination of explanation, worked examples, guided practice, and problem-solving exercises. I can provide resources such as notes, worksheets, diagrams, and practice problems to support learning outside of the lesson.

I bring extensive experience mentoring younger students through my role as House Captain and other leadership positions. I recently completed the IBDP, achieving a score of 42 with 7s in HL Mathematics, HL Biology, and HL Chemistry, which equips me with strong subject knowledge.

My lessons are aimed at high school students, particularly those studying the IBDP, VCE, or similar curricula, who want to strengthen their understanding, improve problem-solving skills, or gain confidence in these subjects.
