About Dharmesh

Dance has always been my language of expression. I started dancing Hip Hop and Bollywood as a kid, drawn to the rhythm and energy of movement. Over time, I fell in love with Salsa and Bachata, which led me to train in Russian Ballet, Lyrical Jazz, and Contemporary to strengthen my technique and versatility. In 2018, I placed 6th in the UK Bachata Championships, an experience that taught me the importance of precision, connection, and stage presence. Now, as an IDTA Level 4 qualified dancer, I bring all those influences together in my teaching. My goal is simple: to help you feel confident, expressive, and connected every time you dance. Whether you’re taking your first steps or refining your style, I’ll guide you at your own pace in a fun and supportive way.

About the lesson

My approach combines structure with creativity. I draw from my IDTA Level 4 training and background in Russian Ballet, Lyrical Jazz, and Contemporary Dance to bring body awareness, rhythm, and musicality into every Salsa and Bachata class. My lessons are adaptive, meaning I adjust techniques, pace, and choreography based on each student’s level, goals, and learning style. Whether you’re a beginner working on timing or an intermediate dancer refining connection and flow, I’ll meet you where you are and help you progress with confidence.

Each session begins with a warm-up and body coordination drills to prepare for movement. We then focus on core techniques such as partner connection, body isolations, and musical interpretation. From there, we move into pattern combinations and short sequences to apply what you’ve learned in a fun, expressive way. Lessons end with light stretching and reflection on key takeaways or practice tips.

I blend technical precision from ballet with the expressiveness of jazz and contemporary, giving my Latin dance students a unique foundation in movement quality and musical storytelling. My focus isn’t just on memorising steps; it’s about helping you feel the dance, build confidence, and move with intention. Students often tell me they leave class not just dancing better, but feeling more connected to the music and themselves.

My classes are open to all levels, from complete beginners taking their first steps in Salsa or Bachata, to intermediate dancers aiming to refine technique and style. Whether you want to improve social dancing skills, prepare for performances, or enjoy a fun way to stay active, I’ll tailor lessons to your experience, comfort, and goals.
