About Mengyao

I am a long-term IELTS test-taker and currently a Master’s student in Secondary Education, with a strong academic and practical interest in how language exams truly work. Over the years, I have continuously developed my own understanding of IELTS preparation and refined my training methods through repeated testing and reflection. In June, I took the IELTS with minimal preparation and achieved a Speaking score of 7 and an overall score of 8. After conducting focused, systematic speaking training based on my own methodology, I retook the test in August and achieved a Speaking score of 9 and an overall score of 8.5. This experience taught me an important lesson: many candidates are not limited by their language ability, but by their thinking flexibility and emotional state under exam conditions. The difference between a 7 and a 9 is often not vocabulary or grammar, but how confidently and effectively one thinks, reacts, and communicates in the moment. This realization is what motivates me to offer more precise, targeted, and human-centered training. My students are not simply recipients of instruction — they are active partners in building a more effective and realistic approach to IELTS Speaking preparation. Together, we work towards not only higher scores, but stronger confidence and genuine communicative ability.

About the lesson

My lessons focus primarily on IELTS Speaking, which is widely regarded as the most challenging component for Chinese learners.

I take a systematic and practical approach, covering:
• Pronunciation and grammar diagnosis: I closely monitor your speech to identify recurring pronunciation issues, grammatical errors, and patterns that limit your score.
• Clear strategies for all three parts of IELTS Speaking: You will learn how to approach Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 with structure, confidence, and control.
• In-exam techniques and mindset: I teach you how to think, respond, and recover during the actual test, not just how to “sound fluent.”
• Targeted training methods: Each lesson includes focused practice designed to turn knowledge into automatic performance.

I strongly believe that high-quality input leads to high-quality output. Instead of memorizing templates, you will build natural, flexible speaking ability through guided exposure and correction.
