About the lesson

IELTS & Academic English Tutor | PhD | 20+ Years of Experience

Are you preparing for IELTS and need to achieve your target score in a limited time?

IELTS Preparation

I offer both long-term preparation and intensive, immersive programmes over a few weeks for students who need to take the exam quickly.

Lessons are tailored to your level, target score and deadline and cover Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, together with exam strategies, practice and detailed feedback.

A typical lesson is 60 minutes, with longer sessions available for intensive preparation.

Academic Writing & University Preparation

Having worked at universities for most of my career, I have a strong understanding of academic writing and university requirements.

I can help you improve your academic writing, structure and arguments, refine your language and prepare for university admission. I also have a proven track record of helping students successfully prepare for university entry.

Who I Teach

IELTS candidates — university, work, migration or personal goals

University applicants who need IELTS or academic English

Students preparing intensively for an upcoming exam

Academic English learners who want to improve their writing and communication

Political science, International Relations and diplomacy students and professionals who need specialised English

Why Study With Me?

You will receive a preparation programme based on your level, target score and deadline, rather than a one-size-fits-all course.

My combination of 20+ years of teaching experience, university teaching, a PhD, multilingual background and international academic experience allows me to combine effective IELTS preparation with a strong understanding of academic English.

Send me your current level, target score and exam date, and we can discuss the best preparation plan for you.
