About GIFT
Hi! My name is Gift, and I’m a passionate Chemistry major and tutor. I recently graduated from United World College in Singapore on a full scholarship, and I am a student at New York University, double majoring in Chemistry and Biology.
My journey in chemistry started in secondary school, where I earned top grades in IGCSE Chemistry. I later took IB Chemistry, which deepened my love for the subject, especially when I qualified to represent my country at the International Chemistry Olympiad in 2022. Through these experiences, I’ve learned how powerful chemistry can be when it’s taught in the right way: clear, engaging, and connected to real life.
I know how tough chemistry can feel sometimes, whether you're struggling with bonding diagrams or internal assessments. That’s why I tutor: to make chemistry easier, more interesting, and even fun for all students. I’ll meet you at your level, explain things, and help you build both your understanding and your confidence.

While I’m new to online tutoring, I’ve been helping others learn chemistry since my first year of O Levels, from tutoring my classmates to stepping in as a substitute teacher for Year 6 and 7 students during my IB years. Although my experience isn’t formal, I’ve found creative ways to engage students using visual aids, videos, and fun mini-projects to make learning more interactive and memorable. I have been able to translate all these lessons to a university audience, where I have worked as a learning assistant for chemistry.
