About Utkarsh
During weekdays, I work as a Data Analyst, but weekends find me in my element as an educator. With ~2 years of teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and the Indian Institute of Technology Ropar, I’ve discovered that teaching others to see patterns in data is just as rewarding as uncovering those insights myself. I feel very strongly about open access to educational resources.
I recently completed the minimum credit requirement for my Bachelor of Science in Data Science and Applications with a minor in Economics & Finance from IIT-Madras, alongside a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in AI-ML from Delhi Technological University (in 2024). This interdisciplinary foundation has naturally drawn me towards Quantitative Finance and Data Science for Social Sciences (Digital Humanities) — areas where data meets human behavior and societal impact.

Over the past 2 years, I’ve had the immense pleasure of serving as a Teaching Assistant across diverse and dynamic learning environments—from the rigorous academic programs at IIT Madras and IIT Ropar to the industry-focused bootcamps at AccioJobs.
I am a strong advocate for a hands-on, "theory-to-practice" approach. My teaching style focuses on building a strong intuition for core concepts before diving into the mathematical rigor. I strive to create a supportive and interactive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and learning collaboratively. Ultimately, my aim is not just to teach tools and techniques, but to foster the critical thinking and problem-solving skills necessary to excel in the real world.
