About Ellen
I empathize with every artist looking for that golden balance between pushing their technique to the next level and breaking apart from the guidelines to find creative release. Making art is about showing up to practice, course-correcting, and communicating with oneself, but I will also help you to access knowledge of artists and theory you didn't have before.
I have an advanced background in impressionist oil painting, a personal approach to narrative illustrations, and experience planning classes for all ages.
