About Elle
I attended Chapman University, where I studied literature, and found a passion for comparative literature and delved into various genres, specializing in Classical Mythology, Jane Austen, and Children’s Literature (both contemporary, and classic).
My inner geek jumps with the enthusiasm of a conspiracy theorist at the opportunity to connect random bits of media through shared lore and hidden facts.
It pleases me to no end that I get to tell people that I wrote my senior thesis on Doctor Who as a Feminist, horror-leaning, adaptation of Peter Pan.
In addition to my time in academia, I have worked as the Art Director, and now, also Social Media Director at Camp Half-Blood (yes, the Percy Jackson camp!) for almost a decade. The unique immersive environment is dedicated to promoting literature through immersion in story, and providing a safe space for kids to grow.
camp Half-Blood has been a teaching experience like no other— it further inspires my passion for making learning into an adventure.
It has given me a place to grow as an educator, and given me the privilege of being part of the educational journey of hundreds of young learners of all ages.

Bringing stories to life is my passion—
I help learners develop creative methods of literary analysis that help immerse them in the texts. and yes, Fanfiction is technically literary analysis.
I’m a huge nerd, and some of my favourite ways to learn and teach are through creative writing and art.
Literary analysis via fan fiction creation is my particular favourite! The best way to get to know any text, characters, or author is to wiggle your way into the story. Creating “what if” situations for every story is always a blast!
I also specialize in resume building, developing a narrative voice in writing, and mythology!
