My approach to tutoring is focused on ensuring that students not only grasp the material but also excel in their exams. I emphasise the importance of understanding difficult concepts by breaking them down into simpler. This method helps students retain information and apply it effectively.
A key component of my teaching strategy involves extensive practice with past paper questions. By working through these, students become familiar with the exam format, the types of questions they’ll encounter, and the best strategies for answering them. This practice also highlights any areas that need further review, allowing us to focus on the topics that will most benefit the student.
In addition to teaching the content, I offer valuable advice on revision techniques. This includes how to structure a revision schedule, active revision methods such as summarising notes or teaching the material to someone else, and the importance of regular, spaced repetition to solidify knowledge.
I have experience tutoring family friends and am confident in my ability to teach students of all ages, from secondary school to sixth form. I specialise in helping students excel in their studies, offering personalised lessons in Maths and Sciences. I charge £30 per hour for my sessions, providing clear explanations, targeted practice, and effective revision strategies to ensure success in exams.
