About Hugo
I always found the A-level biology specification to be very particular, and I would like to help break that down for students in ways that make the questions a lot easier to digest. I also like to go about a way of teaching where you understand the concepts rather than just memorising facts as it’s all very connected.

I usually get my students to work through a set of questions, whether that be a past paper or questions by topic, and make a note of the questions they find tricky. I would then go through those questions with them in the tutoring session, breaking it down into easier bite-sized pieces. We would then double-check understanding with a similar question and follow up on the same topic area in a couple of weeks.
