Bonjour !
Thank you for taking some time to get to know me a little bit.
The following blurb is divided into categories, depending on what information you're looking for. Time is precious! Read them all or skip to the one part that interests you.

WHY TEACH FRENCH IN NEW ZEALAND?
Prior to settling in Auckland I had the privilege to travel this beautiful country for a year and I've learned a lot about Kiwi culture along the way. It is now time for me to give back to the community and help people learn French with confidence!

ABOUT MY EDUCATION
--> 2 years studying Literature, Human Sciences and English at University
--> 3 years studying Communication and Management at a Communication & Journalism school
I graduated from a Master's degree in Communication and Human Resources in 2018.

MY TEACHING STYLE - AND WHY TAKING LESSONS WITH ME IS A GOOD IDEA :-)

Both my education and working experience in international companies (7+ years) have made me a versatile and agile profile who is able to suit a diverse range of needs, levels and goals.

WHAT I LOVE IN LIFE
I have a wide range of interests and would love to discuss them with you during our conversational lessons - journalism, astronomy, foreign languages, (geo)politics, horse-riding... And food. I am currently on the hunt for the best gnocchi recipe in the world! What about you?

>>> HOW DOES IT WORK?
The first lesson is free. We will use this half-hour to get to know each other and you can tell me more about your goals in French. I will also ask you a few questions to assess your current mastery of the language. This will allow me to build you a personalized plan so we can get started as soon as you need!

Discuss daily life, new projects, relationships, next holiday and favorite activities with confidence

[[ French culture ]]
Let's tackle a little bit of French history, literature, gastronomy and "art de vivre à la Française" - yes, I can also tell you where to find the best croissants in Paris!

[[ Listening and reading abilities ]]
Let's work on your ability to listen to French and read the language. If you'd like to be able to listen to the French radio and read the newspapers and understand (almost!) everything - we can definitely work towards it

[[ Business French ]]
Do you interact with French-speaking colleagues and/or clients? We can improve your work vocabulary with work-related role plays and other practical activities

-- Learning a language isn't just about being good *academically* and making no mistakes when you speak, it's about being confident when you do so. I believe confidence is built through a learning process where you feel supported and motivated, not judged for your lack of understanding or speed, and a learning process that is fun. Yes, yes!, FUN is a crucial part of actually learning a language, not just remembering grammar rules. I am committed to making my lessons fun and 100% judgment-free. What's the point of reaching your goal if you haven't enjoyed yourself along the way?

-- I speak 3 languages and I am currently in the process of learning 2 additional ones (Russian and German). In other words... I know the struggle! I'll make sure my teaching techniques are adapted and broken down into achievable chunks to maximize your progress and make your learning journey pleasant. Whether your goal is to be fluent, move abroad, or you want to spend your next holidays in lovely Paris, we can work together with a plan tailored to your actual needs.
