About Anvi

I’m a bubbly, engaging tutor who genuinely enjoys teaching and helping students build confidence in their abilities. I’m passionate about passing on knowledge in a way that feels clear, approachable, and tailored to each student, so they not only understand the content but also feel motivated to apply it.
With four years of experience tutoring Biology and Chemistry, I’ve developed a professional and reliable approach to lessons. I’m organised, patient, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes as part of the learning process.
I place a strong emphasis on exam technique and consistent practice, ensuring students are fully prepared to achieve the highest marks possible. My goal is always to help students feel confident, capable, and ready to succeed in their exams.

About the lesson

I take a structured but flexible approach to tutoring, with a strong focus on helping students maximise marks in exams rather than just understanding content at a surface level. My teaching is centred around exam technique—breaking down mark schemes, identifying common question patterns, and showing students exactly how to phrase answers to secure full marks. I prioritise active practice in every session, using past paper questions and real exam-style scenarios so students become confident applying their knowledge under pressure.

A typical lesson lasts one hour. Within that time, I usually begin with a quick review of previous material, address any problem areas, then move into focused teaching of a topic followed by guided practice. We end with independent exam questions to reinforce learning and highlight areas for improvement. This keeps lessons efficient and results-driven.

I have been tutoring Biology and Chemistry for around four years, working with students across different exam boards. This experience has helped me develop a clear understanding of how to adapt explanations to different learning styles and how to target the specific skills needed to achieve top grades. I received 4A* at A-level for Biology, Chemistry, Economics and History as well as high ranking in my cohort in medical school for the past three years

My lessons are suitable for secondary school and sixth form students, including those preparing for GCSEs and A-levels (or equivalent qualifications). I support a range of ability levels, from students aiming to build confidence and pass, to those striving for the highest grades and consistently achieving full marks.
