About Alina
Hi! My name is Alina and I am a freshman at Georgetown University. I scored a 790/800 on the SAT math section, and a 1550 overall on the SAT last year. I earned a 100 in Honors Algebra 2 and a 99 in Honors Precalculus at the Bronx High School of Science (one of the top schools in New York City). I scored a 5 on the AP Calculus BC exam this year and have helped countless peers in my school succeed in math classes. I am currently tutoring a student who has learned zero algebra in school for the past 2 years. Yet, I have successfully been able to break down problems she initially found confusing into a more digestible form. Having recently taken the SAT myself, I know firsthand what topics frequently show up on the exam and what students must do to prepare. I am a friendly face and someone who can truly empathize with students going through this process, so please do not hesitate to reach out if you or your child needs tutoring!
