About Praha
My name is Praha and I did my A levels this summer, achieving 4 A*s. I have had some experience as a private tutor with 3 previous students (GCSE maths) and one current (A level maths). I'm doing a gap year before I start doing maths at university, but I've already applied (for deferred entry) and received 5/5 offers including Imperial, Cambridge, Warwick and UCL. I will be going to Imperial in 2025 after a productive gap year and hope I can help as many students as I can during this year and once I start university.

My lessons will be online via Zoom / Teams / Google Meet and based on PowerPoints and handpicked practice questions depending on the subject and your level. I believe practice with hints and feedback are most effective for my subjects. I'm flexible with lesson lengths but recommend starting with 1 hour sessions. My qualifications include having achieved 4 A*s in A level Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry (2024) and 83 on the MAT (2023) and Gold and Merit awards in the UKMT Senior Maths Challenge and Andrew Jobbings Senior Kangaroo (2022, 2023). My lessons are suitable for A level / GCSE students or students taking the MAT / TMUA.

Details
Your first lesson with me will be a trial lesson - We will spend the first 10-15 mins discussing preferred teaching styles, your aims, and your current working level. Then we can work through a couple of basic problems to see how it goes.
