About Malik
Hi, I’m Malik. I recently completed my A-Levels at St Olave’s Grammar School and I’m currently taking a gap year before studying Medicine at King’s College London, where I hold an unconditional offer.
I achieved 8 Grade 9s including the GCSE subjects I tutor and A*AA at A-Level. Having gone through GCSEs and A-Levels relatively recently, I understand both the academic pressure students face and the importance of having clear, supportive teaching.
I enjoy helping students break difficult topics down into manageable steps, improve their exam technique and become more confident in their own ability.
I also have previous tutoring experience supporting younger students in Maths and English, which helped me develop a patient and adaptable approach to teaching.
My aim is to make lessons productive but comfortable, so students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes and improving from them.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s current level, goals and areas for improvement. I usually begin by identifying weaker topics and understanding how the student approaches questions, before building a clear plan around those areas.
I focus on both subject understanding and exam technique. This includes explaining difficult concepts clearly, working through exam-style questions, analysing common mistakes and showing students how to apply mark schemes effectively.
A typical lesson lasts around one hour and may include a mixture of teaching, guided practice and independent exam questions, depending on what the student needs most.
Having recently completed GCSEs and A-Levels myself, I am very familiar with the demands of current exams and the techniques needed to perform well under timed conditions.
I am happy to support students across a wide range of abilities, whether they are trying to strengthen their foundations, improve by several grades, or aim for the highest grades.
