I’ve been tutoring for over five years, working with students ranging from kindergarteners to final-year undergraduates. I typically prefer the students to provide the specific topic they would like to work on 24 hours prior to our tutoring session, so I can prepare some notes and additional practice questions. In a typical tutoring session, I start by reviewing the previous session's notes and then transition into the new topics. I would provide a brief set of notes and then get into working on several practice questions, as this is proven to work best! My tutoring is different from others as I am a proponent of individualized sessions. I like to get to know the students thoroughly so that I know the exact methods that help each student succeed. I also believe working together on numerous practice problems is significantly more beneficial to the student than hours of lecture notes during tutoring sessions. My sessions are catered towards any student from elementary school up to undergraduate level. I prefer to have classes over Zoom, unless the student lives in Chandler, AZ.
