About Elektra
I am an incoming Oxford languages undergraduate, (French and Modern Greek ab initio). I studied French, Politics, English Literature and History at A Level, achieving A*A*AA. I am an experienced debater, competing in national and international debating competitions in both French and English. I am fluent in English, French and Romanian.

I help students develop confidence, fluency, and precision in French—whether preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, or Oxbridge interviews.
Lessons are fully tailored to each student, with a strong focus on building speaking confidence, grammatical accuracy, and high-level written expression. I work closely with students on past paper questions, essay planning, and exam technique to ensure they can perform at their best under timed conditions.
For more advanced students, I offer support with A-Level texts and films, as well as detailed analysis of unseen passages and poetry—helping students move beyond basic understanding to sophisticated interpretation and discussion.
I also provide preparation for Oxford-style French interviews, developing the ability to think critically, respond naturally, and communicate ideas clearly in French.
As an experienced French debater—winning the Cheltenham French Debating Competition twice and placing nationally in Les Joutes Oratoires—I bring a strong emphasis on real communication, not just memorisation. Lessons are structured, engaging, and results-focused. Students receive clear feedback and targeted support, leading to noticeable improvements in confidence, fluency, and exam performance.
