About Serena
I am a gap year student, who is pursuing a degree in Dentistry at the University of Birmingham, coming September 2026. This past gap year has allowed for me to develop the quality of tuition I provide my students and learn how to meet the needs of students of different abilities. I achieved AAA in A-Level Biology, Chemistry and Maths, as well as 4 9's, 6 8's and one 7 in my GCSEs. I have previous experience as a tutor at Kumon, Explore Learning, as well privately. Working at these different institutions has allowed me to implement different teaching methods into my lessons.

I have up-to-date knowledge about the syllabus and requirements of exam boards due to sitting my A-Level exams recently. I understand that to achieve higher grades, a student needs to utilise both the content of the course and exam techniques applicable to each question. I use teaching methods tailored to each child and their goals, so that they benefit the most from each and every lesson. I have previously tutored at the following institutions: Kumon, Explore Learning, as well as privately. My tuition methods have continuously resulted in my students achieving their desired grades. My tuition is available to students in year 7, all the way up to A-Level students.
