About Michael
I have always loved math, and I have spent years working through advanced coursework, including college-level Calculus while still in high school. That experience taught me how to stay patient and figure out where someone is really getting stuck.
I also have real tutoring experience. Through Learn To Be, I have put in over 75 hours tutoring students in subjects like math and physics, so I know how to explain things clearly and adjust to each student.
Outside of school, I do engineering and electrical work, and I have led a national award-winning engineering team. I am reliable, organized, and genuinely invested in seeing my students improve. When you book a lesson with me, you get someone who shows up prepared and actually cares about your progress.

I’m an incoming UVA Engineering student, and I love helping students finally feel confident in math. I finished college level Calculus while still in high school, and I specialize in Algebra, Trigonometry, and Arithmetic.
I focus on making tricky concepts actually make sense, not just memorizing steps for a test. My engineering background helps me connect math to the real world, which keeps things interesting. Every lesson is built around what you actually need, and we go at your pace.
