About Julian
I'm an Austin-based independent artist and music producer. Though I'm young, I've been active in the field for years. I've released one album, two EPs, and five singles on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and other streaming platforms, all written and produced independently in Logic Pro. You can find my music under "Halcy0n" or "London Ocean" on any platform.
I built my foundation in music production completely on my own, then started taking lessons with a private teacher to improve my production to a semi-professional level. I've never been one to put myself inside of "rules," so my teaching approach will give valuable advice that you may not find in many other places.
One of my biggest goals is inspiring the generations after me. It's become harder to stay motivated and inspired as a musician when AI can spit out a track in five minutes, so I don't just want to teach the "what" and "how," but also the mental side of music: staying motivated, staying inspired, and finding your own creative drive.

I teach less like a formal instructor, more like a friend sharing real experience. I write, produce, and release my own music independently, so I know the actual path from nothing to a finished song.
A typical lesson is structured around you. Whatever you want to work on that day, we'll dive into. I teach the real process of making music, tying the mental side, like motivation and inspiration, into the technical side, like EQing and compression.
Complete beginners are welcome. Great for teens and adults who want to actually start learning how to create a song (rock, pop, rap, etc).
