About Audrey
I am an independent mathematics researcher with a strong interest in mathematics, neuroscience, and biochemistry. My academic journey has been largely self-directed, and I have studied advanced mathematical and scientific materials through resources such as Wolfram and MIT OpenCourseWare.
My teaching philosophy is based on one simple principle: understanding comes before memorization. I believe every student can improve in mathematics when concepts are explained clearly and approached step by step. Rather than simply providing solutions, I guide students to understand the reasoning behind each problem and gradually become more independent.
I also bring experience in teaching and academic support, working with learners from different backgrounds and adapting explanations to their individual needs. Whether you are struggling with a particular topic, preparing for an examination, or simply want to develop stronger mathematical thinking, I will create a supportive and structured learning environment for you.
My goal is not only to help students get the correct answer, but to help them develop the confidence, logical reasoning, and problem-solving skills they can apply beyond the classroom.

My approach to mathematics is centered on understanding rather than memorizing formulas. As an independent mathematics researcher with interdisciplinary interests in neuroscience and biochemistry, I encourage students to develop the logical thinking and problem-solving skills behind each mathematical concept.
My lessons typically combine concept explanation, guided problem-solving, questioning, and practical exercises. I adapt the difficulty and pace to each student's level and focus on helping them understand why a method works, not simply how to apply it.
A typical lesson may include:
5–10 min: Review previous concepts and identify difficulties
15–20 min:Introduce and explain a new concept step by step
20–25 min: Solve problems together, gradually moving from guided examples to independent work
10–15 min: Student attempts challenging problems independently while I provide feedback
5 min: Summarize key ideas and suggest practice for the next lesson
What sets me apart is my research-oriented and interdisciplinary approach. My independent studies using resources from Wolfram and MIT OpenCourseWare have encouraged me to look at mathematics as a system of reasoning rather than a collection of formulas. I aim to help students become more confident, curious, and independent mathematical thinkers.
My lessons are suitable for middle-school and high-school students, beginners, students preparing for examinations, and learners who want to strengthen their mathematical foundations and logical reasoning. Lessons can also be adapted for students who feel they are struggling with mathematics or want a more conceptual approach to the subject.
