About Melody
I worked 29 years in public and private schools in Texas before becoming a CALT and Licensed Dyslexia Therapist and Educational Diagnostician.
I enjoy designing appropriate work for guiding those with learning differences or learning challenges. The work should be interesting, varied, and multi sensory to engage the individual and increase the learning outcomes.

I am trained as a Montessori Guide, Texas School Teacher, Academic Language Therapist, and A special educator. I use Take Flight, MTA, Alphabetic Phonics, and Reading by Design for dyslexia remediation. I can help with writing and spelling as well. I find that sharing classic literature with children and youth is a great way to have something to talk about and writing about as a way to improve comprehension and writing skills.
I have a master's degree in educational psychology with specializations in gifted education and special education. I have taught grade levels from 3 year olds to high school. I also work with adults. I have learning spaces in my office to accommodate both young children, youth, and adults comfortably.
