About Mariana
Mariana is a kind, patient, and caring tutor from Colombia, that moved to the United States to pursue higher education. A recent graduate with a STEM degree from the University of Central Florida, she is equipped to help students in most areas of College-level Mathematics and Spanish. When she first started school, she struggled adapting to the American education system, but through hard work (and a lot of tutoring sessions), she obtained her degree in Industrial Engineering and works at a top 50 Fortune 500 company. Now it is her turn to pay it forward by helping students, like she once was, succeed!

3+ years of tutoring experience in College-level Mathematics classes and beyond. Recently graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering and I work at a top 50 Fortune 500 company, in the Medical Devices spaces.
Given my experience tutoring at a higher education institution, I’ve worked with hundreds of students . I like to first determine what your learning type is (e.g., visual, auditory, kinesthetic, reader/writer) and work a lesson plan out from there. We will determine milestones and check ins in our sessions, to see what is working, what isn’t and how can we fix it. Lessons plans will also be heavily reliant on any assignment/examination deadlines, to make sure you can meet those accordingly!
