About Karan

I'm a Senior Data Scientist with over 4+ years of industry experience, currently working on advanced AI systems including LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic AI workflows at a leading global firm. My background includes roles at top consulting and tech companies, where I've built machine learning models, GenAI applications, and data analytics solutions used in real business operations.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Data Science and Machine Learning, and I did a Master's in Data Science and Analytics in Ireland. Alongside my full-time work, I have prior experience tutoring students internationally, helping them build practical, job-ready skills in AI, Python, and data analysis.
I believe technical learning works best when it's grounded in real industry context rather than abstract theory, which is the same approach I bring into my professional work every day. I'm patient, structured in how I explain concepts, and genuinely enjoy helping others build confidence with tools that can otherwise feel intimidating.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is hands-on and project-based, drawn directly from my real-world experience as a Senior Data Scientist working on enterprise AI systems. Rather than starting with theory, I begin each student with a clear goal, whether that's understanding AI tools for daily work, learning Python for data analysis, building dashboards in Power BI, or developing GenAI/LLM applications, and build lessons around practical exercises tied to that goal.
A typical lesson starts with a short concept explanation, followed by live coding or hands-on practice together, and ends with a small task to reinforce the concept independently. I adjust pacing based on how quickly a student grasps each topic rather than following a rigid syllabus.
What sets me apart is that I'm not teaching from a textbook. I currently work on production AI systems involving LLMs, RAG pipelines, and agentic workflows at a global firm, so I bring real industry context, common mistakes, and current best practices into every lesson rather than outdated theory.
My lessons are suited for two kinds of learners: working professionals who want to understand and use AI tools effectively in their jobs, and students or career-switchers aiming to build practical skills in Python, machine learning, or data analysis for job readiness. Both beginners and those with some prior exposure are welcome.
