About Marilyn
Methodical instruction defines my classroom persona. I teach chemistry with a focus on core mechanisms and underlying logic.
Having earned a BSc in Biochemistry from MIT, I prioritize clarity above all else. My approach involves breaking down inorganic and physical chemistry into manageable pieces for my 370 students.
Acids and bases become intuitive once you master the fundamental interactions, as I often tell my pupils. I have spent 13 years refining how I explain electrochemistry, chemical bonding, and stoichiometry. This path allows me to bridge the gap between abstract textbook definitions and the real world of chemical synthesis. I enjoy seeing students finally connect these disparate parts.
