About Steven
I am a Mathematics with Statistics, Operational Research and Economics Masters graduate with a knack for teaching maths. Having studied it my whole life, I have tried many methods of learning and understand the difficulties students may come across. I have many years of in-person teaching and due to COVID, recently start tutoring online.

Coming from a family of teachers I started tutoring mathematics at the age of 15. Since then I have always been teaching on the side. From young kids to A-level students, I have always had a passion for it.
I base my teaching on developing a quick understanding of my student's abilities and finding the best methods for them to learn. Not only do I teach the maths but I also like to help my students understand how to learn, and drive their enthusiasm for hard work and learning. I build a friendly, easy-going and talkative environment, and use a range of visual and hands-on teaching methods to help the student fully understand the concepts. I am a firm believer in practice and I will be setting homework and exercises tailored to my student so that they can apply the concepts that are taught.
I also have interests in sports, music, gaming and movies which help me build a connection and start conversations.
