About Aria

I am an ambitious student at the Imperial College London School of Medicine. I am reliable, conscientious and assertive. I strive to be a holistic academic; I am a self-taught violinist. I am actively developing my skills in sports, the arts, crafting, reading and writing. I am an exemplary student, who approaches all my studies with intention, curiosity and continued resilience. I have always been determined to fulfil my full academic potential and my attainment record is testament to this.

About the lesson

During classes I assess and consolidate prior knowledge while challenging students to expand their breadth and depth of understanding. Upon thorough explanation of the subject concepts, I utilise an extensive array of exam-style questions of all difficulties, to polish exam technique and enact active recall. I achieved 3A*s at A level for Maths, Biology and Chemistry alongside an A in AS Further Maths. I also attained level 9s at GCSE in the aforementioned topics along with Physics which I teach at GCSE level. In Year 13, I achieved a Gold in the Senior Maths Challenge and a Bronze in the Biology Olympiad. Through summers 2015 to 2018, I volunteered to tutor inpatient pupils in a Children's Hospital abroad on missed school work. During my school tenure, I have routinely tutored my peers and students in year 12. I am adaptive and patient, having volunteered to teach maths and sciences to a range of different classes with different capabilities, either in my own time, or, by organised intervention sessions with groups of underachieving students. In the past year I have logged 250+ hours of online tuition.

While studying A level maths, I found it difficult to understand topics and keep up with class. In December mocks I got a disappointing grade. However, afterwards I began to receive tuition from Aria after school. He helped me understand key topics faster and I improved greatly as a result.
