About Karla
I have a BS in elementary K-8 education, librarian endorsement and EL endorsement. My teaching experience ranges from being a preschool teacher to 8th grade in regular and combination classrooms. Teaching and learning are my passions in life. This year I obtained my Class B CDL to drive the school bus.

My teaching method is to first make a personal connection with the learner(s). I like to let them know how much I love to teach and that I am honored to be a part of of their learning journey. The next important step is to assess to find what level the learner is at to allow instructional lessons be based off of that. Research based materials and methods are essential in the instruction. I am currently using Raz Plus, Edmentum and My Grammar Gallery.
