About Sarah

My name is Sarah, and one of my passions lies in guiding my students through the effective techniques of Swásthya Yôga, concrete tools for the integrated optimization of body, emotions, and mind. Since 2004, I have been dedicated to the study, practice, and application of these ancient disciplines. During this time, I have acquired extensive experience with techniques such as conscious breathing (pránáyámas), abdominal retraction techniques (kriyá), strength and flexibility poses (ásanas), deep neuromuscular relaxation (yôganidrá), concentration and meditation practices (samyama), and others, key elements for your vitality and performance.

My research and development never stop: I continue to deepen my knowledge through various courses, workshops, and events both in Brazil and Europe, in addition to ongoing independent study. My solid education, including a doctorate in biochemistry, aligns with the naturalistic (Sámkhya) foundation of Swásthya Yôga. This synergy allows me to deeply understand the physiological and biochemical mechanisms underlying each technique. Therefore, we explore the concrete effects of each practice on the body, emotions, and the development of mental capacities, ensuring clear and accessible teaching for those who appreciate a scientific approach.

In the practice of yôga, understanding the theoretical framework is important; it clarifies the rationale behind each technique and motivates us to maintain the discipline of diligent practice. Furthermore, practical experience is crucial: it allows me to guide my students on the path to developing each technique, offering teaching based on lived experience.

Since 2015, I have been dedicated to teaching these techniques in Brazil, Portugal, and Italy, helping students from all over the world. I currently live in Bressanone, where I teach Swásthya Yôga both online and in person. My approach is always personalized and adapts to individual needs, offering a practice that can be more dynamic or deeper depending on the student's needs at the time. My goal is to provide you with the tools to easily integrate these powerful practices into your daily life, for greater clarity, well-being, and fulfillment.

My Swásthya Yoga classes are based on the integrated optimization of body, emotions, and mind, with the goal of elevating your vitality and improving your personal performance. Through a repertoire of practical techniques, I will guide you toward greater awareness and well-being, offering a comprehensive path that combines strength, flexibility, body control, and concentration, making each class an opportunity to explore your full potential.

How a Swásthya Yôga class works: Each session is structured to offer you a complete and transformative experience. We'll begin with Breathing, exploring exercises aimed at improving lung capacity, reducing stress, and increasing oxygenation, with variations to stimulate alertness, relaxation, or vitality. We'll continue with Abdominal Retraction, to strengthen the deep muscles and stimulate internal circulation. Next, we'll focus on Strength & Flexibility exercises, aimed at improving body awareness, muscular endurance, and coordination. Neuromuscular Relaxation will also be included, a technique for learning to fully relax the body and promoting emotional reprogramming. We will conclude with Concentration & Meditation practices, essential for training focus and stimulating intuition. Throughout the practice, mindfulness will be developed, which involves deeply connecting to the present moment.

What to Expect from the Classes: By participating in Swásthya Yôga classes, you can expect significant physical development, improving strength, flexibility, and vitality. You will experience significant mental improvement, increasing your concentration, focus, and clarity. Finally, you will foster personal growth by exploring techniques that promote self-awareness and more effective emotional management. My guidance, based on profound practical experience, ensures precise and tailored teaching, making the techniques accessible and delivering concrete results in everyday life. I will help you translate ancient concepts into practical habits.

Who are the Swásthya Yôga Classes for? These Swásthya Yôga classes are primarily aimed at young adults, ages 16 to 60. The sessions are dynamic and powerful, yet always adaptable to beginners, ensuring a gradual and safe approach. More experienced practitioners will gradually integrate advanced techniques. Furthermore, those with a specific interest will have the opportunity to delve deeper into the theoretical, philosophical, and behavioral aspects of the Swásthya Yôga line (Dakshinacharatántrika-Niríshwarasámkhya), offering a more complete and profound understanding of the discipline.
