I utilize a well-tried approach in all my lessons: Introduction of concept, reinforcement, consolidation, application, introduction of next related concept (with continuous review of previous concepts.) I introduce the concept (for example, present tense), then use a bank of vocabulary to create sentences and phrases to teach and review. The bank continues to grow as they are used in the phrases. The student repeats the phrases and translates as they go, with my support. My lessons are for brand-new beginners, who are just starting.
