About Sloan
Sloan Aulgur is a multi-media designer who celebrates all scales of space as essential.
She believes architects are translators, who curate and fabricate intentional moments of a story and she is interested in critical narratives and speculations that are tested through built experiential works.
She is currently pursuing a Master of Architecture at MIT, and holds a Bachelor of Interior Design from the University of Arkansas, with a minor in Communication. She has previously worked as an interior designer in a variety of firms, including Marlon Blackwell Architects, Gensler Seattle, and Somewhere Studio. She presently works as a research assistant at Matter Design, MIT.
Interests and hobbies include cinematography, media of all sorts, theatre, and most things that can be categorized as performing arts. Sloan has 10+ years of dance, vocal, and theatrical training that now fuel her creative work as an experiential designer.
Sloan is a Myers-Briggs ENFJ, and an Enneagram 3w2, filled with an abundance of curiosity and humor.

I believe the best way to develop any 3D modeling and/or design representational skills is to apply them to a goal of YOURS. We can decide on this together, and I look forward to getting to know you in order to customize this experience! Though I have a couple years of industry experience, I have also taught as a teaching assistant in many college level courses. This is something I am very passionate about, and have never found design to be daunting, boring, or anything other than fun. Reach out, and let's make something beautiful together.
