About Farwa
I’m an Integrated Sciences student at McMaster University with a deep passion for how science impacts our everyday lives. For the past three years, I’ve balanced my academic studies with a role in the Multi Organ Transplant Student Research Training Program. This experience has taught me that science isn't just about memorizing facts—it's about problem-solving and persistence.
When I’m not in the lab or studying, I’ve spent time as an Environmental Program Coordinator, where I learned how to explain complex sustainability concepts to people of all ages. I know exactly what it feels like to face a challenging course or a confusing dataset for the first time, and I pride myself on being the kind of mentor who stays patient and supportive until everything clicks.
My background in oncology research and environmental science gives me a unique perspective that I love to share with my students. I believe that anyone can excel in STEM with the right guidance, and I’m dedicated to providing a professional, organized, and encouraging environment to help you reach your academic goals!

Hi! I’m Farwa. I know that science and math can sometimes feel like a wall of confusing definitions and formulas that don't seem to matter in the real world. My goal is to change that. I’m a student in the Integrated Sciences program at McMaster (Combined Honors in Environmental Science and Physics), and I’ve spent the last three years working in clinical research, so I’ve seen firsthand how these "textbook" concepts actually save lives in medicine and protect our environment.
My Approach:
I don’t do "lecture-style" tutoring. Instead, we’ll tackle things together. I like to use a lot of visuals and real-world stories—like how a chemical reaction we’re studying is the same one used in a hospital lab. We’ll start with what’s confusing you most, break it down into plain English, and then practice until you feel like you could teach it to someone else.
What sets me apart:
I’ve spent thousands of hours collecting and analyzing data, so I’m great at helping students who feel stuck on the technical side of things. I’m patient, I’m used to solving complex puzzles, and I genuinely care about seeing that moment when a difficult concept finally clicks for you.
Who I help:
I’m here for high schoolers who need to boost their grades and first-year uni students who are feeling a bit overwhelmed. Whether it’s Biology, Chemistry, or just getting comfortable with data, we’ll get you where you need to be.
