About Santiago

Hello! I am Santiago, a teacher for love and passionate about languages, culture and knowledge. I have given tutorials in academic-communicative English to students from basic elementary, middle, high school and university educational institutions both in Colombia and abroad. I have a bilingual International Bachelor (IB) diploma, with an emphasis on Global Politics and History. It facilitates me to communicate effectively and respectfully, to work with enthusiasm as a team and for objectives. I have had the opportunity to teach students of all ages (between 12 and 52 years old) and levels, from beginners to advanced, who are preparing for international tests such as IELTS or PET, both in person and online.

About the lesson

My teaching method is simple: work towards objectives according to the level, rhythm and attitude of the student. The focus of the class is natural, that is, I emphasize oral-written exercises, the imitation of set phrases and pronunciation to improve the four basic communication skills: speaking, listening and reading-writing. I like to adapt and try different learning techniques (songs, written exercises, games, dialogues, dramatizations, dictations, etc.) that show the student their learning curve. In my classes the results and the student are the ones who speak for themselves.
