About Dasool

Hi there! My name is Dasool. I’m originally from South Korea and currently based in Adelaide, Australia. I studied International Communication at university in Japan and have over five years of experience working with Japanese clients in both technical and customer-facing roles. While I don’t have formal teaching credentials, I’ve mentored colleagues, led training sessions, and created educational materials throughout my career. These experiences have helped me develop strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly and patiently. As someone who has learned both Japanese and English as second languages, I understand the challenges of language learning firsthand. That’s why my lessons focus not just on grammar and vocabulary, but also on confidence, cultural understanding, and real-life communication. My Teaching Approach As a bilingual professional with years of experience supporting Japanese customers in technical and customer-facing roles, I bring a practical and empathetic approach to tutoring. My goal is to help you not only understand Japanese—but use it confidently in real-life situations. Teaching Techniques & Methodology I focus on communication first, using real-life scenarios, role-playing, and conversation practice to build fluency. Lessons are interactive and personalized—I adapt my teaching style to your goals, whether you're learning for travel, daily conversation, or business. I incorporate cultural insights and workplace etiquette to help you understand the “why” behind the language. For business learners, I offer interview coaching, email writing practice, and keigo (honorific language) training based on my experience interviewing candidates for Japanese tech companies. ️ Lesson Length A typical lesson is 50 to 60 minutes, but I’m flexible depending on your schedule and learning needs.
