About Paula
Hello! I'm Paula, I am a Portuguese international student at Niagara College, with 3 years of tutoring experience and two other university degrees under my belt.
Over the past three years, I have accompanied several students through either their highschool or intermediate school years, 2-10 hours each week, which allowed me to establish a very positive work relationship with them, adjust my teaching style to their needs, and watch them develop their skills and become better students over time.
That aside, I have also obtained vocational trainer certification, which has improved and expanded my teaching skills, making it easier for me to adapt to a student's particular learning style.

In our sessions, typically 2 hours long, I aim to create a casual, comfortable environment where we will work together to tackle the student's main points of animosity towards any particular subject, develop our own study material, do plenty of exercises, prepare for tests, exams and projects, always nourishing a relationship based in mutual respect, responsibility, accountability, commitment and attention to the student's wellbeing.
We will go through the student's last class, tackle homework or other projects, focus on specific themes that the student is struggling with, and develop our own studying material from that.
