About Ayush

I’m an international-rated chess player and a final-year engineering student with a strong foundation in Maths and Science. With 4 years of teaching experience, I’ve helped students succeed in Chess, Maths, and Science. Teaching is my passion, and I believe in providing personalised, engaging lessons that fit each student’s unique needs. I use proven techniques from top mentors like GM RB Ramesh and Susan Polgar to offer world-class chess training. In Maths and Science, I focus on clear explanations and practical problem-solving to ensure deep understanding. I’m committed to professionalism and helping students build confidence, whether they’re beginners or looking to improve their skills. Let’s work together to achieve your goals!

About the lesson

I take a personalised approach to teaching. When I begin with a new chess student, I first assess their current level. For beginners, we start with the basics to build a strong foundation. For those with prior knowledge, we progress to new topics, adjusting the speed and difficulty based on their understanding. I set the pace, choose topics, and provide homework tailored to each student. My lessons are usually 1 hour long divided into 45+15 format where we learn for 45 minutes and then discuss queries for 15 minutes. It is engaging, blending theory with practical puzzles. I use a combination of GM RB Ramesh’s curriculum and Susan Polgar’s teaching techniques, both renowned for developing top-level players. For Maths & Science, my approach is similar: I first explain the concept, solve examples together, and then assign practice problems to ensure understanding. These lessons are also in the same format. Qualifications/Experience:
1-I am an international-rated chess player, with multiple zonal and regional tournament victories.
2-In Maths, I have qualified for the Pre-Regional Maths Olympiad.
3-I am a final-year engineering student, so I am well-versed in Maths and Science. With 4 years of online teaching experience, I teach students ranging from a 4-year-old beginner in chess to school students up to grade 12 in Maths and Science.

I found Pratyush profile through superprof. He has been training my daughter (6 yrs) since Jan 2025.

Training a 6 yrs old girl is not an easy task, engaging them for 10-15 mins is such challenging task but, Pratyush been conducting 45 mins x 2 sessions every week, stated off with basic level training and it's been 8 months now. My daughters now knows every moves of the games for her level, started teaching chess to me, my wife and her elder sister now. All credit goes to Pratyush.

He is very my accomodative, there are occassions, I had to cancel the sessions in the last min and/or have asked to reschedule to another date/time, he accepts my requests without any fuzz.

He is trustworty as I have left my daughter with Pratyush online independtenly and he handled her very professionaly.

Highly recommandable.
