About Emma
I am very enthusiastic about helping people improve in their studies. When I was at school my teachers told me I shouldn't consider essay subjects, but I now have a First-class honours degree in Politics and International Relations and have completed a Masters in International Relations, because I cared about these subjects. As someone with ADHD, I am also aware that individuals understand things differently to how their school teachers may explain things, which makes me very aware of trying new or unique ways of learning depending on the student. Moreover, my youngest sister is currently undertaking her GCSEs and I have helped her with her history over the last two years, where we have seen great improvement in her results. I have also assisted several younger university students in the same way. Overall, I really aim to build confidence because that is when student's really flourish in their studies, leading to better results and more enjoyment of the subject.

Having struggled at school, I have learnt how important organisation and confidence is in ensuring that learning is enjoyable and effective. I am very friendly and tailor my lessons to individual's needs to maintain a stress-free environment. I may go through past work and provide assistance in how to improve for coursework and exams, re-cap information or help the student with organisation and keeping up with their work.
