About Isaac

I’m a passionate tap dancer, performer, and choreographer with international teaching and performance experience in Israel, the United States, Sweden, and Barcelona. I’m a proud graduate of the prestigious Jacobs Pillow Tap Program, directed by the renowned Michelle Dorrance, as well as the acclaimed professional tap dance program at Luthier Danza in Spain under the direction of Guillem Alonso. I was a full-time performer with Tapestry Dance Company, a 30-year-old tap dance company led by Acia Gray, where I deepened my craft and love for the art form. Currently, I also teach in-person classes at studios in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami areas. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, I’ve been teaching tap dance online for the past five years with great success. My virtual classes have been met with enthusiasm from students around the world, many of whom appreciate the convenience, accessibility, and high-quality instruction. The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, with students feeling inspired, supported, and confident in their progress. My teaching style blends a strong connection to rhythm and movement with personalized attention to each student’s needs and goals. Whether you're just starting out or looking to refine your technique, I tailor each lesson to be fun, accessible, and empowering. I’m excited to share my passion for tap and help students of all levels experience the joy and freedom of this expressive art form—whether in person or from anywhere in the world.

About the lesson

With over 20 years of international experience as a tap dancer, performer, and choreographer, my teaching approach combines the joy of rhythm and movement with a solid technical foundation. I believe tap dancing is not only an art form but also a way to connect with music on a deep level, which makes every lesson a full-body, mind, and soul experience.

My lessons are designed to be engaging, accessible, and tailored to each student’s individual pace and goals. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your technique, I focus on building confidence, musicality, and timing through step-by-step guidance, breakdown of complex rhythms, and creative combinations.

A typical lesson includes a warm-up to prepare the body, introduction of new steps or routines, rhythm exercises, and a personalized choreography tailored specifically to each student. Students have the freedom to choose the music for their choreography, making the learning experience unique and meaningful. The lesson ends with a cool-down, recap, and time for questions. I also incorporate performance tips and improvisation to help students develop their own style and expressiveness.

What sets me apart is my worldwide performing and teaching background, which brings a rich variety of styles and influences to my lessons, as well as a genuine passion for helping students discover their love for tap. I prioritize clear communication, patience, and positive reinforcement to create a supportive and motivating learning environment.

These lessons are perfect for all ages and levels—no prior experience in music or dance is needed. Most importantly, tap dancing with me is a lot of fun! Whether you want to learn tap for fitness, fun, stage performance, or as a new creative outlet, my classes offer a welcoming space to start your tap journey or take it to the next level.
