About Stephanie
Stephanie Chow is a professional guitarist, bassist, and producer based in NYC with 15+ years of instrumental experience. With a degree in jazz studies from Columbia University and musical background encompassing jazz, R&B, roots, soul, and rock, she loves to share her passion for music with others through both performance and teaching. Currently she works as a touring guitarist and producer, having played venues including Radio City Music Hall, Terminal 5, The Ryman, and worked as a session musician for releases under Warner Music Group, Sony Music, and more.

Lessons are tailored student's musical goals, with an emphasis on learning fueled by curiosity!
Whether that means learning how to play classic rock oldies, arrange a video game soundtrack, or improvise and write new music, lessons are guided by each student's interests. Regardless of your path you will build foundational musical skills in chord knowledge, fretboard fluency, rhythm, and soloing!
With my background in jazz studies from Columbia University jazz combined with my work as a current touring musician across various popular genres, I've developed a structured but flexible teaching style that allows for me to meet any student where they are.
