About Rich
I am a former introductory Spanish teacher and am best suited to early language learners (though I am capable and happy to help more advanced learners too).
Academically, I learned Spanish in the classroom in both high school and college. Professionally, I worked in restaurants while in school, was a construction project manager whose subcontractors were Spanish speakers, and handled all Spanish language accounts in other jobs before teaching. Personally, my linguistic skill and love of the language was developed while living in Spain for a year.

I’m flexible in the design. I tend to start the same way with all students, and then evolve lessons to suit their learning styles. Desires of the student are also taken into consideration: want to learn a specific style or dialect? Great, let’s focus on it. Interested in cultural or historical events that are also relevant? Awesome, we’ll cover them. Is there a specific subject you’d like to be able to talk about in Spanish? We’ll either work on it, or I’ll explain why you need to learn a bit more first. Amount of Spanish spoken will depend on capability and level of the student.
